What, you may ask, is a RADP meet??!!! RADP stands for rec.arts.disney.parks. It is a newsgroup on the internet where Disney fans from all over the world share tips, tales and experiences.
The First RADP meet was held in December of 1996 with just over 20 of us, most folks were from the local Orlando area. We have now grown in size to over 300 people visiting from all over the world - Canada, Australia, Japan, United Kingdom, Austria and more.
We now gather every December in Walt Disney World for our annual meet. It's lots of fun so please join us! I look forward to seeing you over the weekend of December 9 and 10, 2000!

RADP-V POCKET GUIDES
At RADP-IV, Passporter provided complimentary Pocket Guides detailing meet activities. They were a HUGE success and have agreed to provide them for RADP-V. Many folks asked if they could receive the guides prior to coming to WDW.
As a courtesy to everyone attending RADP-V, Jennifer and Dave are doing two special things.
First, you can receive an advance copy of the Pocket Guide by filling out the form. (Form no longer online)
Also, Passporter WDW is providing a special 25% discount to folks ordering the Passporter WDW Book through this special RADP-V page. A portion of the proceeds will go to support WDWIG! The special discount is only available through this page and ends on December 15, 2000.

Thursday, December 7th
Breakfast & Pin Trading at Spoodles on the Boardwalk- Judy and Mike have made arrangements for a private dining room at Spoodles for 8:30a.m. on Thursday December 7. This is just off the main dining room and uses the regular buffet. We can have a maximum of about 30 people, so reserve early. This will be part of the RADP-V gathering, and will include Pin Trading (or bragging) in addition to the only non-character buffet breakfast at WDW. Price including gratuity and tax: Adults $15.25; Children 3-11 $8.50 Reservations and Pre-Pay were required. Reservations are now closed. Hosts: Judy and Mike Tuchman
Photo Treasure Hunt on the Seven Seas -- A joint RADP/PassPorter community event. Meet in the Magic Kingdom at 3:30 pm for a wild and wacky photo treasure hunt encompassing the Magic Kingdom and the monorail resorts, ending at the Grand Floridian in time for the 8:00 pm RADP Villains Dinner.
All hunters will be divided into two teams (families stay together) and each team will be equipped with Polaroid cameras. Then you're on your own to find the required photo spots scattered around the Seven Seas Lagoon and obtain goofy, sometimes tricky, photos of the entire team at each location.
RSVP and $5 event expense fee (prepay) is required. Entry fee defrays cost of cameras, event souvenirs for each hunter, and group photos to take home.

Villains Dinner at 1900 Park Fair in the Grand Floridian - Dinner is at 8:00pm. Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party - Magic Kingdom -Meet at the Liberty Bell in Liberty Square 15 minutes before the Fireworks. Dan has kindly offered his MVMCP photo to be taken of the group after the fireworks. You will need a ticket to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. Host: Dan Matheke
ImprovGal's Improvisational Comedy Series - Comedy Warehouse -- Meet in front of the Comedy Warehouse to see Pleasure Island's very own improvisational comedy troupe! The shows rely on audience participation, and since it's CM night it should be particularly boisterous! No Disney World improv series would be complete without a Comedy Warehouse performance! 1:00pm The Big Meet and Greet!! We are gathering "outside" the turnstyles at the International Gateway in Epcot. This is outside the park, so you do not need a ticket to Epcot to enter. Meet at 1:00pm. You will be asked to fill out a card which you can turn in at the end of the meet and receive a "Disney door prize". ImprovGal's Improvisational Comedy Series World Showcase Players -- around 3:30pm. Meet at the UK pavilion in front of the Toy Soldier. The World Showcase Players offer interactive performances of traditional tales such as "King Arthur and the Holy Grail", "Romeo & Edna", and "A Christmas Carol". Annual All Star Mini Breakfast Meet - All Star Movies Food Court
Pre-Splash-Mt-meet meet - Ft. Wilderness - Are you going to the Splash Mt. meet on Dec. 10th? Do you plan to eat Breakfast? Are you staying at Ft. Wilderness, Wilderness Lodge, or just interrested in visiting Ft. Wilderness? Then meet us on the front porch of the Trails End, next to Pioneer Hall (home of the Hoop-Dee-Do Review), on Sunday Dec. 10th at 7:30 am. Reservations are not required. RSVP is not required but if I know approximately how many to expect I can ask for enough tables to be grouped together. This is an all you can eat buffet with a HUGE selection of food. ImprovGal's Improvisational Comedy - Whose RADP Is It Anyway? -- 9:00pm. Come join your fellow RADPers in our own variation of the popular improvisational comedy game show! We'll set up camp in the Mask Room of the Adventurers Club (Pleasure Island) to play rounds of simple games such as "World's Worst", "Alphabet", and many more! No prior experience necessary! Instructions will be provided! In the event of a water landing, your seat cushion may be used as a floatation device! In the event of too many drinks, your hostess may be used as a flirtation device! Bonus points may be given for the following: showing up at a prior ImprovGal's Improvisational Series meet, bringing an object for "Props", or just bringing paper and a pen/pencil. An All Day Tomorrowland Transit Authority Ride Meet! Beginning at the Magic Kingdom park opening, Julie and Jeff will head over to the TTA and begin an all day Ride-Athon!. Thursday, December 14
STEAM TRAINS TOUR!! - The Magic Behind Our Steam Trains, a Magic Kingdom park tour, allows you to see the inside of an engine cab and watch the opening crew prepare a train for the day's operation as well as learn about Walt's early experience with trains and how the Magic Kingdom park trains were built. The two-hour tour also takes you into the North Service Area to get a sneak peek in the roundhouse, where the trains are stored overnight. As a souvenir, guests get an actual spike from the railroad. Reservations are limited to 18 guests per tour and are made by contacting Walt Disney Tours (407) WDW-TOURS. The cost is $25 (includes tax) and theme park admission is required. No known discounts available. Guests must be at least 10 years old to participate.
